The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the team enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
